Again- Lenny Kravitz

so, ya.
went to school for two hours.
contemporary issues was, humm, how do i say it.
FUR IS DEAD.
shawna tang showed us those animal abuse videos.
those cursed valentino, versace, etc. designers kill animals to look pretty.
do you know that the poor animals are skinned while they're ALIVE?
supposedly, the quality of the fur becomes better, because they produce special hormones while they are struggling, say, to bite their leg off from the trap.
another way to skin an animal alive: step on its head or its heart first.
and the cows, OH the COWS.
they die, hanging on one leg, bleeding to death. the butcher yanks his chopper on the cow's throat, making a huge slit. some of the cow's insides drop out, along with the flow of brown, sickly looking blood.
in other words, they bleed to death, hanging upside down.
oh, and i cannot forget the dog meat in the korean market.
i was stunned shitless.
i mean, i guess i can't help being carnivorous. but surely there are more humane ways of killing those poor animals? like perhaps gassing them?
AND I'M TOTALLY AGAINST EVERY SINGLE UNSCRUPULOUS ASPECT OF THE MULTI-BILLION DOLLAR FUR INDUSTRY.
people who wear fur must be quite sick in the head. e.g. cruella de vil. humph. :/

anyhow. started on the IAC project after class, then went to find val, kristy and sel in the library.
there was this bunch of dunno-whos sitting opposite us. i guess they couldn't help having loud voices and gesturing like they are trying desperately to talk to the blind.

"you know ar, mass comm people always look at people like that (furiously points two fingers to her own forehead)."

i guess she was trying to say mass commers hold our heads up too high.
the bunch of them said some other stuff too. i'm glad i didn't possess perfect hearing power.
the four of us were quite appalled. i mean, what did we do to them? don't those people look at everybody else they don't know the same way? do you stare into the eyes of people you barely know? or become compulsively friendly? geez.
whatever they case, those got quite red in the face when they realized that we were from mass comm. good.

sighs.
i'm using this skin forever.
